Interview with one of the first meviy users

To get an idea of what our customers think of meviy, we have taken the opportunity to interview Mr Daubner, Designer Industrial Engineering, from Bock 1 GmbH & Co. KG.

Mr Daubner is a meviy user from the very start and has experienced all the various stages in its development. In the interview below, he describes to us his experience with meviy.

Give it a read!

MISUMI: Mr Daubner, Now that you've got to know meviy, how satisfied are you and in what ways have you benefited from meviy?

Daniel Daubner: Overall, we are very satisfied with the milled parts for our automation systems. Order processing is super fast and immediate quote generation is a great feature. You just upload STEP data and you have a price. The components manufactured by meviy help us drive forward automation in our two divisions OFFICE and AUTOMOTIVE. Thanks to our individual range, we must always be able to act flexibly and variably there. This is made easier by the time savings in delivery and the simple communication concept.

MISUMI: How would you rate our solutions in terms of quality, delivery time and price?

Daniel Daubner: First of all, the quality is excellent and fits seamlessly into our internal quality standards. Each component is also given a number, which makes it very easy to reorder wear parts. But the key factor for us is the delivery time. We want to supply our customers as quickly as possible while maintaining the same quality – meviy supports us optimally in this goal. While 6 weeks is standard on the market for products like these, we have so far waited a maximum of 18 days for our deliveries. This benefits our customers and partners with high planning and project security. The price is fair, only larger workpieces from 600 x 400 mm could be slightly cheaper.

MISUMI: What problems did the company face? How were similar parts procured previously?

Daniel Daubner: The biggest problems were the long communication channels with the suppliers on site and the partner in Hungary and the delivery times of 6 weeks. The technical consultation for our high-quality products was extremely complicated, and also took up a great deal of time on the part of the designer.

MISUMI: Did you face any difficulties when using meviy and how did you solve them?

Daniel Daubner: No, the technical solutions are optimal; the system is self-explanatory. I'm really impressed and look forward to the opportunity to become a tester when turned parts are introduced in the future.
